· Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity Level Sports are offered.
·
Sports offered: Fall -
girls' volleyball, boys' soccer, cross-country, boys’ football, girls’ tennis
Winter
- boys' basketball, girls' basketball, cheerleading, swimming
Spring
- baseball, softball, girls' soccer, track and field, boys’ tennis, golf.
· Physicals are mandatory for each student who participates at any level. The school offers physicals at the Mandatory Grades 6 – 12 Athletic Meeting in late August (date/time TBA).
B. Payment of Fees for Participants in Athletic Program:
Athletes can meet this requirement through one of the following two options: pay an Athletic Fee or sell Ads for the Athletic Ad Program Book.
1. Athletic Fee - The athletic fee will be $50.00 for each athlete who participates in a sport, regardless of level. For example, if an athlete plays one JV sport and one Varsity sport, he/she must pay the fee of $100.00. The fee must be turned in to the athletic office by the 1st game of the season. If not, the fee will be billed to the next tuition statement.
2. Football fee: To defray the additional cost of football, an additional fee of $100 will be charged to each football player. The fee must be turned in to the business office by the 1st game of the season. If not, the fee will be billed to the next tuition statement.
3. Ad Requirements
a. In order to avoid having to pay the athletic fee, parents and athletes can choose to participate in the Ad Book, which requires no money put out by you. To save parents money and increase athletic department income, it is the desire of the athletic department to have all the athletes sell Ads. The Ads program is in its eighth year and has had great success. If the athlete is going to participate in the Ad Program, he/she must inforn the Athetic Director. See our website or contact the athletis department at 838-2755 for Ad deadlines and more information.
b. The athlete must sell one Ad for each sport he/she plays. Prices for Ads vary according to size. The goal is for students to sell as many Ads as possible. Costs are as follows:
Business card size $ 50.00 Quarter page size $ 90.00
Half page $175.00 Full page
$275.00
Back page outside $375.00
c. Athletic Department Assistance: To meet the needs of the athletic program without exceeding the budget, parents of athletes are needed to work in the concession or at the ticket table. To be equitable to all parents, we need each family to work four (4) hours or more per year per student/per sport. If parents are unable or unwilling to meet this obligation, they will be assessed a fee of $75.00 per year per student. This will be billed to your account. You will be asked to sign a form at the Mandatory Athletic Meeting showing your intent. If you state you intend to work during the year, but do not show up for your assigned duty or fail to return phone calls regarding your work schedule, we will assume you have changed your mind and assess to your account the $75.00 fee.
